Golf swing instruction video is extremely helpful and next to actually seeking a pro to help you in person, I’d suggest that these kinds of golf swing instructions are the way to go if you can’t yet afford golf pro lessons. However, my first golf swing instruction tip starts of course with your grip. Most golfers are familiar with the interlocking grip which is the most common and usually the best as it allows for maximum power and proper leverage. However, you might want to try the golf baseball grip which can be helpful to beginners and/or the overlapping golf grip.
The next best area to focus on when looking for advice on golf swing tips is to use a golf swing training aide. I recommend the Swingyde golf training aide. If you’re looking for stack and tilt golf swing instruction I would suggest using a golf pro as that is a more advanced technique. However, it is incredibly powerful and once learnt it is easily repeatable. I will try and explain the stack and tilt golf swing technique here, but it is best seen in images or video and best practiced with a golf pro by your side or a very good player coaching you through it.
During the setup you remain centered over the ball. Halfway back and your hands move inward and it should feel like your right hip is moving up and back behind your body. Your right hip will be quite a bit higher than your left at this point. At the top of the golf swing your body remains centered, however your weight has shifted slightly to the right foot. At this point you should feel like a coiled spring or the double helix of a strand of DNA.
Halfway down on the swing and your weight is moving downward, you can now imagine that you are crushing a pop can with your left foot. Because your body stayed centered, the downward pressure is setting up the hips for a powerful impact. Upon impact the lower body is springing up as the hips release their thrust and the arms stay close to the rib cage and the swing is carried with the velocity of the pivoting hips. The body is leaning front and the legs and butt are pushing forward. The finish has the torso flexing forward almost as if you’re a Sumo wrestler butting chests. Your butt is tucked in under your spine and you make a shallow backward C. You can see a video at golf swing instruction.
