Different golfers have select needs when it comes to the type of clubs, balls, and shoes that they wear when they hit the links. This also stands true for the type of golf tees that people ultimately find useful. From plastic golf tees to the newer brush tees, there are many different options available for everyone from the avid golfer to the novice who likes to play once or twice per year.
Wood Tees
These are your standard golf tees that usually come painted white, yellow, or orange. But you can also get these as personalized golf tees. Many people still swear by the wood tees due to their longstanding place within the golfing world. As these are the tees that pros use the most, wood tees continue to hold a special place in the amateur golfer’s heart.
Wood tees are also still the most widely available to purchase at retail stores as well as golf stores. Still the most popular of all the tees uses, wood tees provide the feel and comfort that so many golfers have grown accustomed to.
Plastic Tees
Many amateur golfers use plastic tees because they are much more durable than a wood tee is. You can usually go up to 4-5 rounds without having to replace a tee, which is nice for someone that is not accustomed to regularly purchasing golfing equipment. These are also available as bulk golf tees for greater price savings for beginners. They stand up very well to a lot of dings and damage while giving you the same great velocity and feel that a standard wood tee would.
Step Down Golf Tees
These are a newer introduction to the golfing market. They come in many different lengths which allows you to place your ball anywhere from 3/8 of an inch from the ground all the way up to 1 7/8 inches off the ground. Step down golf tees allow you to make much more solid, consistent contact with the ball than if you were to use standard wood or plastic tees. They also are a little more durable than a normal golf tee because they have a thicker base, which does a much better job of resisting damage than other tees on the market. These tees are an excellent choice for offering as promotional golf tees for your clients and customers.
Brush Tees
Also coming in a variety of sizes, the brush tee has durable, soft strands that usually can last an entire season if you do not consistently hit the plastic base of the tee. The bristles themselves do have a tendency to deform after prolonged use, and brush tees are one of the most expensive golf tee on the market. However, many golfers have reported an increase in distance and accuracy with the brush tee, so it does provide some great advantages over other golf tees.
